On a Mac running OS X, click the Apple icon on the Menu bar and select About this Mac. Your system will show something different. On this desktop PC, there are four slots, and each one is being used. This section displays how many slots you have for memory sticks. In this example, I have 8 GB of DDR3 665MHz. On the right list, you’ll see RAM, which shows the type of RAM currently installed. Launch Speccy, and you’ll get a summary of your system. For Windows, install the easy-to-use utility from Piriform called Speccy.
